Add GST to a base price or work it backwards from a GST-inclusive amount — for every slab.
Total (incl. GST)
| Base price (taxable value) | |
| CGST (%) | |
| SGST (%) | |
| Total GST | |
| Invoice total |
Adding GST: GST = base × rate ÷ 100; total = base + GST. Removing GST (reverse) from an inclusive price: base = inclusive × 100 ÷ (100 + rate). For intra-state supply the tax splits equally into CGST + SGST; for inter-state supply the full rate is charged as IGST. Filed late? Check your penalty with the GST Late Fee Calculator.
The main GST rates are 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%; some items are at 0%, 0.25% or 3%. This tool also supports a custom rate.
IGST applies to inter-state supplies and imports. Intra-state (within the same state) supplies attract CGST + SGST in equal halves.
